What information do we collect about you?
To provide our services as Financial Advisers/Brokers, JBW (Halesowen) Ltd t/a JPM will collect and use information about you or a beneficiary under the policy i.e. your employees or other identified individuals, such as name, address and contact details. This may also include sensitive personal data i.e. information relating to health, criminal convictions, offences, insolvency or liquidation.
The purposes for which we use personal data may include: providing a quotation, providing insurance cover, renewals, financial planning, financial advice, investment management services, handling claims, crime prevention and direct debit agreements. Without collecting your personal data we would be unable to fulfil our legal and regulatory obligations.
Information about connected individuals
We may need to gather personal information about your close family members and dependents in order to provide our services to you effectively. In such cases it will be your responsibility to ensure that you have the consent of the people concerned to pass their information on to us. If they require a copy of this notice we can provide a copy for you to pass onto them.
Who we share information with
We may pass personal data to third parties such as intermediaries, insurers, reinsurers, loss adjusters, subcontractors, fraud and crime prevention and detection agencies, credit reference agencies, databases and registers e.g. the Motor Insurance Database (MID) and Claims and Underwriting exchange. We also may use your information for third parties we engage for professional compliance, accountancy and legal services, platform & product providers.

How we store your information
All personal information about you will be treated as private and confidential. We are registered under the Data Protection Act 2018 and we undertake to comply with the Act in all our dealings with your personal data. We have strict systems in place to ensure the security of any personal information we hold and all information is stored on our secure servers.
How Long Do We Keep Personal Information
Where you have entered into a contract with us, a client's data will be held at least until they are deceased. In regards to the retention periods, as a common platform firm, we must retain all records kept under this chapter in relation to its MiFID business for a period of at least five years.
Your rights
You have the right to request a copy of the personal information which we hold about you. If you would like a copy of your information, please contact insurance@jpmbrokingservices.co.uk. Please contact us if any information changes or if you believe that any of the details which we hold are incorrect.
You also have the right to withdraw consent at any time; or indeed not provide the information requested, however we may be unable to continue to provide our services from this point.
If you believe that there is a problem with the way we are handling your data you have the right to raise a complaint to the Information Commissioners Office (ICO).
How to request that we cease processing your personal data
